Harmony Hall Harmony Hall, in Brown's Bay at Nonsuch Bay, is the center of the Antiguan arts community. Exhibits change throughout the year, but the annual highlights are the Antigua Artist's Exhibition and the Craft Fair, both in November. The sugar mill tower around which Harmony Hall is built has been converted to a bar and provides its patrons with one of the island's best panoramic views, including a fine prospect of Nonsuch Bay.
On the first Sunday of each month between November and April, this gallery launches a new exhibit highlighting a Caribbean artist or group of artists, including the internationally known and the up and coming. This former sugar plantation is spacious and cool. Caribbean motifs reign, and media range from the predominant oils and watercolors to sculpture and handcrafts. Buy original framed paintings or limited-edition unframed prints. The curator can arrange meetings with favorite artists. The gift shop next door sells local arts and crafts. |
