ARC (Atlantic Rally for Crusiers)

The Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) is an annual transatlantic sailing competition for racer and cruiser yachts since 1986. ARC starts at the end of November in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and ends before Christmas in the Caribbean destination Rodney Bay in Saint Lucia. The ARC is the largest transocean sailing event in the world and regularly attracts over 200 boats of many different shapes and sizes. The route takes between 14 and 21 days aided by trade winds, and covers over 2700 nautical miles.Saint Lucians have always observed and celebrated that discovery day for a number of years by going to church services, attending parades and rallies, organizing sports meeting, staging cultural presentations and recently, the focus has been on the spectacle of these cultural presentations in various communities using the visual imagery of light, in its many manifestation as with light sculptures, lantern contests, and other assimilations.

Festival of Lights Celebration

Caribbean Music Expo Limited/CME is responsible for the presentation of the Caribbean's premier music business convention and trade show which features conferences, exhibits live performance showcases, the CME Star Search and the CME Awards Dinner.  Negril - Reggae Marathon

The Reggae Marathon & Half Marathon is Jamaica's premier International Marathon Event. Marathoners, sports enthusiasts as well as beginners, converge in Negril, Jamaica's capital of casual, for a fun Event characterized by good vibes and lots of Reggae Music. Feast of La Marguerite – October 17, 2009

This is one of two rival floral cultural festivals of St. Lucia. It is celebrated primarily in the more rural communities. Participants dress up in costumes and dance in the streets. There are district featured characters namely The Queen, King, policeman, nurse etc. They dance to the beat of folk music and drumming. 19th International Bill Fishing Tournament

The IGY Rodney Bay Marina will this year proudly host the Saint Lucia Game Fishing Association’s (SLGFA) annual Billfish Tournament. The 19th International Billfish Tournament, to be held September 28th to October 9th is hosted by the SLGFA in collaboration with IGY Rodney Bay and Digicel.

Over 100 anglers from throughout the Caribbean and from the US are expected to take part in the event which will feature activities on and off the water.

All Stages Rally Jamaica

The All Stages Rally Jamaica sees a field of 30-plus speedy motors tackling a wide variety of terrain across the countryside of Jamaica, finishing outside the Jamaica Tourist Board after a run through the streets of New Kingston. Home-based teams are joined by others from the Caribbean and Europe in a thrilling international line-up of custom cars presented at the scrutineering session and Parc Expose before the start of the race. Leg 1 starts at Petcom Naggo Head in the early hours and includes Lydford and Reynolds. Leg 2 blasts off from Petcom Portmore and includes Bog Walk, Wakefield and Bybrook. In challenging circuits through verdant countryside, large crowds come out to watch a thrilling contest.
